How to choose between Pelonis pedestal fans and circulators
One-axis sweep or two-axis motion
The pedestal fans oscillate 90 degrees and tilt 24 degrees, which keeps the airflow on a sofa or a bed. The omni-directional circulators combine 135 degrees of side-to-side turn with 90 degrees vertical, and the dual height DC model reaches 100 degrees vertically. If the goal is better air circulation from a vent or a heater rather than a breeze on one spot, a circulator is the right type.
Height range of the stand
The 16-inch remote pedestal fans adjust from 42 to 48 inches, and the 18-inch five-blade model from 3.9 to 4.7 feet. The omni-directional circulators switch between a low 23.2-inch setting near pets or the floor and a high 42.5-inch setting beside a bed. Measure the height of the seat or mattress you want the air to reach.
Motor noise and smart control for bedrooms
The quietest models use DC motors: the Wi-Fi circulator and the dual height DC circulator both run at 20dB, and the white omni-directional model at 23 dB. The Wi-Fi model adds the Pelonis SmartHome App, voice control, 9 speeds and a Turbo mode. The manual 16-inch pedestal fan is louder at 45dB but needs no remote at all.
